As you work through your breakup, there are lots of tools you can use to help motivate your healing process. Movies, books, poetry, music, quotes, even art you see in a museum or hanging on a wall can evoke all kinds of emotions. They can inspire us to greater heights and comfort us when we're at our lowest. Here is a small collection for you to explore.

Quotes:

There's no doubt that divorce can be brutal. It can cause your mind to race ceaselessly. Believe it or not, one of the best ways to slow your racing mind and comfort yourself is to recite an inspirational quote.

The Serenity Prayer was my mantra when I woke in the middle of the night sobbing with grief and fear because of my divorce. It's included below with a few other inspirational quotes.

When I got divorced, I listened to a lot of music - turned up really loud. I was drawn to the most irreverent music I could think of AC/DC. It helped me deal with my anger and frustration about being divorced.

"Let It Go" from Frozen

"So What" by Pink

"F**k It (I Don't Want You Back)" by Eamon
